YOKKAO 'Lettering' Muay Thai Gloves
1Decide the job
Start with your gym's rule
Glove ounces describe weight and padding. They do not measure your hand.
Ask your coach
Confirm the required glove weight for sparring or competition.
Choose the training use
Bag, pad, all-purpose and sparring work use different padding levels.
Check hand fit separately
Ounces do not tell you whether the hand pocket fits your fingers, palm and wraps.
After choosing the ounce, test the hand compartment with the wraps you use in training.
2Find your row
Choose the glove weight
Ounces choose padding weight and training use. They do not measure your hand.
US unit: ounces
| Ounce | Best starting use | Before you buy |
|---|---|---|
| Bag, pad and lighter all-purpose work | Check gym rules before partner work | |
| All-purpose training | Partner drills only when your gym approves | |
| Common sparring starting point | Gym rule still decides |
3Confirm your choice
Coach and gym rules decide the ounce.
Use the required ounce for the work. If the wrapped hand does not close naturally, change glove model instead of dropping the required padding.
4Use this size
Apply it to the product
Select a row above. Your current color stays selected.
When it arrives
Confirm the fit before training
Put on the wraps you train in and close a complete fist inside the glove.
- Full fist closes with wraps on
- Fingertips are not crushed or folded
- Thumb sits naturally without pressure
- Wrist closure overlaps securely without cutting circulation
If any check fails, do not train in the gear. Start an exchange while it is still returnable.
- A few left in stock!
Are Yokkao gloves too stiff when new?
Yokkao gloves, such as the Matrix or Sharknado models, often feel firm initially due to their dense multi-layer foam padding designed for superior impact protection, but they typically break in effectively after 4-7 sessions of light bag work or pad drills.
How durable are Yokkao gloves for regular use?
Constructed from premium cowhide leather or high-end microfiber with double-stitched seams and reinforced stress points, Yokkao gloves generally last 1.5-3 years or more with 3-5 weekly sessions involving sparring, bag work, and clinching, provided they are properly aired out and maintained to prevent odor buildup.

Definitely hard to find a good quality glove that are built to last heavy punching and with stand constant sweat from every workout. I was a bit hesitant due to not seeing enough reviews or pics & videos but man these gloves are built very well and have very good padding.Especially if you are a heavy hitter. 10 out of 10 get the gloves the design on the gloves does not peel off. It actually printed on or paint it a very good quality over all.
Muy lindos y muy buena calidad
The gloves are very comfortable especially from the inside after trying other types of commercial brands. Great support for the wrist area.
I bought the stadium red 14 oz gloves to train with and I believe these are the highest quality gloves you can own if you want to practice Muay Thai or similar combat sports. Would recommend to someone if they had a decent budget because these are expensive but worth it!
