Curved or flat/round - what should I choose?
Curved pads “catch” kicks more naturally and are easier on the holder; flat pads are cheaper and give a boxier surface (nice for hands/knees/teeps), while round/donut faces are great for teeps, low kicks, and accuracy work. If you’re unsure, choose curved for all‑round use.
Leather or synthetic - does it matter?
Leather generally lasts longer and ages better; synthetic/microfiber runs lighter, dries faster and is easier to clean - good for long classes or humid gyms. Pick leather for maximum durability, synthetic for lower upkeep and weight.
How heavy should pads be (coach fatigue)?
Standard curved Thai pads are roughly 5.5 - 6lb per pair. “Lightweight” lines shave ~0.2lb per pad so you can hold longer, faster rounds. If you run big classes or long sessions, lighter pads help a lot.

As expected (I've used these at gyms I've been a member of for years) these Fairtex thai pads are incredible. The quality and function are as good as it gets. Great fit, weight balance, plenty of impact protection. You can't go wrong with these pads.
I bought these pads after my gym closed due to the COVID pandemic so I can continue to train. I was hesitant due to the price and sought out cheaper options, but I am a big believer in buy once, cry once, and jumped the gun. I have no regrets. The padding feels great, even to someone who just started training. You can really feel the quality in the leather. The straps are wide enough and really secure the forearms. After multiple rounds in the past 2 months they've held up well. There's a reason why Fairtex is regarded as one of the best in Muay Thai equipment and these pads are a testament to that.TLDR: Incredible quality, buy them, worth the investment.
These are perfect. ! Very strong and durable. I got the standard and they are very thick. They are alot cooler looking in person than the pics on here.Also very reasonably priced I was expecting to pay alot more
I like it and all but after 4, one hour sessions of beginners Muay Thai in a span of 2 weeks, one of my pad's black covering, seems to be about to peel off. I find it a little odd since the other pad seems to be fine, and the pads at the gym of the same brand/style still seem to be in perfectly good conditions after month of punishment. Not really sure if this is normal or not, especially after only 2 weeks of usage. And I haven't even started the "real" training yet, so not sure if this will cause the pads to deteriorate quicker than normal.
These pads have held up extremely well. They can take a beating for sure. I'm an amateur kickboxer & use them daily. I also train with pro mma guys so these things get used a lot. I would definitely buy them again! The price is exceptional considering that Fairtex regarded as one if the top brands out there. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a durable set of Thai pads.
Kick pads are pretty decent. I've tried a few variations and brands but I don't think you can beat these for the price. The only thing I might do differently would place a non-slip pad or something on the inside for holders. Most pads don't have these those.

Nice quality. I may have gone for the thicker ones had I done it again, or Im just a sissy, but can barely take kicks from my 13 year old with these haha

Absolutely love them. I started off cheap and pads ripped after less than a dozen uses so decided to buy what I see the best pad holders using. Was so happy with purchase I bought a body protector from them as well to replace my cheaper version

Love these pads
These are probably our favorite brand of thai pads that hold up very well. The first pair we got lasted well over 10+ years and we just got these replacements.
I used these pads many years ago when I first trained muay thai, so when I saw them online I had to buy them because they were excellent, I started training 6 or 7 years ago and I remember the quality of these pads being a 10 out of 10 I am glad to see that ovet time it has remain the same, actually they might even be better, they feel better, the design is amazing and they are super resistant, the grip is amazing, they fit perfectly and you can just see the quality of their stitching.

Only downside is they are a bit heavy but darn they are nice. Well the investment

If you’re looking for pads and you’re shifting between $60 or $130 pads but you’re worried about the quality… I had the same worries. Spend the freakin money. You won’t be sorry, i promise you. I’ve done Muay Thai for years and these pads are everything you’d need it for.
I looked extensively at about 10 different products from as many different vendors before choosing these pads. I could not be more pleased with this choice!
High quality and works as expected.
I’ve used these 2-3 times a week for a few years now—they show no signs of damage. If you’re tiny like me and used to flimsier pads, the weight might take some adjusting to, but I promise you’ll get used to it! Comfortable, and with good form I can have people twice my size kick me and not worry I’m going to break my arms…worth every penny!
Material feels good and absorbs shock well. Has quite a bit of heft to it.
