Everybody loves Chuck. True story: Initially, “Everybody Loves Raymond” was supposed to star UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell and it was going to be called “Everybody Loves Chuck.” The deal fell apart when the producers demanded that Chuck refrain from painting his toenails. OK, that’s not true at all. But the “Everybody Loves Chuck” part is totally true. And the UFC Reed Krakoff Chuck Liddell Shirt is awesome, with a killer pic of The Iceman right on the front.
Boxing is not MMA, but it is part of MMA. And what do you think old folks watched before MMA? Boxing. And Beverly Hillbillies. And Sanford and Son. Anyway, Roots of Fight celebrates the heritage and greatness of the pioneers in combat sports. This shirt honors the great Muhammad Ali. The front has Ali’s name, the back features his signature “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” saying.
Pride was a Japanese promotion that began in 1997, and was later folded into the UFC. It is looked upon with honor and respect. Talk to an old school MMA fan about it and they will likely utter three words: “Pride Never Dies.” And it didn’t. Because we have these hoodies. The UFC Pride Tri-blend hoodie not only keeps you warm and pumps up your old school MMA cred, it’s totally stylish.
Back before MMA there was boxing. And…wait, I already told you about this (See Ali, Muhammad). Before he was starring in Adult Swim cartoons and singing Phil Collins songs in movies, Mike Tyson was the most vicious person to ever step foot into a ring. One of his greatest quotes is immortalized on this Roots of Fight shirt: “My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I’m just ferocious.” Hoodie also available.
Bruce Lee is more than a guy that made a bunch of cool movies. He was a pioneer in martial arts, and is also called “The Godfather of Mixed Martial Arts.” The Bruce Lee Endure Shirt features an amazing picture with the text, “Learn to endure or hire a bodyguard.”
Royce Gracie changed combat sports as we know it, showing the world a different way to fight at UFC 1 when he introduced Gracie Jiu Jitsu to the masses. The rest, as they say, is history.
