Tyron Woodley is ready for his UFC welterweight title shot. The #3 ranked welterweight will first have to dispose of Rory MacDonald at UFC 174. He’ll fight on “Ares” in Canada, so he won’t have the crowd with him. But he will enter the arena in a sweet new walkout shirt.
The new Affliction Tyron Woodley UFC 174 walkout shirt displays Woodley’s “The Chosen One” nickname on the front, and his full name on the back. The shirt comes in black, has a 50/50 Cotton/Polyester blend and is part of the Affliction Sport line. It features contrast sleeves, body and collar and is a crew neck shirt.
Woodley shot up the UFC rankings after ending two fights in devastating fashion. Woodley knocked out Josh Koscheck in the first round of their UFC 167 fight last November. He followed that up with a TKO victory over Carlos Condit at UFC 171. Woodley showed a new weapon in that fight, repeatedly landing brutal leg kicks that injured Condit and forced an ending to the bout.
MacDonald is currently ranked #2 behind Robbie Lawler. He lost to Lawler at UFC 167, but came back with a win over Demian Maia at UFC 170. MacDonald was in early trouble in that fight, as Maia used his supreme ground game to land some takedowns and hunt for submissions. But MacDonald was able to defend and won via unanimous decision.
