I bought this after using a ton of jocks and compression shorts with a cup. I roll BJJ and train Muay Thai, while I rarely wear a cup for MT, I always wear a cup for BJJ gi or no gi. I have found this to be very frustrating most compression shorts even the ones Shock Doctor discontinued never stayed in place. Unless you were a regular jock and a pair of comp shorts over it, most of the other styles the cup doesn't sit right and rides around often. When you are in a closed guard this could be pinching the side of your ....um... ya. Not a good feeling when you have someone whos 200 pounds on top of you. These shorts are tailored fitted for movement. They have grips on the leg so they don't ride up, and an x design that runs under your butt, to secure that cup. Its even got a little padding right in the front as well. They are comfortable with or without the cup, and make getting ready between classes a lot easier than trying to put a regular jock on etc etc. I am going to buy a bunch more, and am curious about the padded compression short as well. Great product!

I had one of Shock Dr's older compression short/cup combo and had given up on this style due to the cup always slipping. After reading some reviews on this site I decided to give this another try. This short is very superior to Shock Dr.'s other compression short/cup and the cup actually seems to stay in place when you're on the mat.
My one complaint is that there seems to be a lot of flimsy stitching. After one wash on delicate some of the stitching is alread coming out. I've only had these for a month so this might become a problem.

I have a pair of ShockDoctor's standard compression shorts. they good for the price but the cup doesn't sit right and rides up a lot during BJJ. I had my eyes on these shorts for a while but thought that the [$] price tag was a bit much. After getting "pinched" too many times I bought these shorts. These shorts are awesome! the cup is a bit larger, the fit is great, and there is interior padding as well. Overall they're super comfortable and STAY IN PLACE. it's 100% worth the extra money. Buy em!

These shorts are nice for wrestling and any type of practice activities. The material is thick and comfortable. Though placing the cup is difficult, once its set you can forget about it.
