Where style and comfort become one, the RYU Ashigaru fight short features RYU's special closures and gripper waistband and are packed with high-tech features that insure optimum performance and comfort. Inspired by the fierce medieval Japanese foot soldiers, these shorts are built for full-contact training and competition.

100% recycled polyester fight short (137g)
12.25 inch inseam
Quick drying
Gel print grippers prevent slipping and flat seams prevent chafind and irritation
Internal drawcord
3.5in side slits for freedom of motion
Reinforced RYU Icon bar tacks at side seams and drawcord allow a custom fit

For the price you pay, you can find a better pair of shorts with the 4-way stretch fabric (does not come with 4-way stretch fabric). If you're looking for more bang for your buck, I would look at another product.

As a tall 155lb fighter, I always have trouble finding shorts that don't feel like Thai shorts. These shorts are longer on the inseam and have a nice V-cut on the outsides to make them not only comfortable but also great for throwing high kicks. Very lightweight, great look and feel. Closure system feels a little weak though.
