A barrage of tests at the University of Cincinnati identified a new high performance engineered leather material, called Vylar™, as the best candidate for the surface of Hayabusa’s gloves. Though leather is in fact an excellent material, this research looked to push the limits of what gloves can withstand. Vylar™ was tested in extreme conditions to ensure it would excel in continuous hardcore training and repeated fight conditions. From surface abrasion, flexibility, tear, and crack resistance, the test results were nothing less than spectacular, causing more than a few jaws to drop. These mma gloves are really well made, they adjust just perfect to your hand size, overall they are perfect for training (sparring, and grappling) but for the price, I think they are a bit too expensive, a friend of mine has the hayabusa pro mma gloves and they are just as good and 10$ cheaper.
I've owned several pairs of MMA gloves and these have got to be the best. Weight is true to spec. Material requires very little breaking in. Be mindful of the sizing chart, it pays to measure twice and order once. The knuckle size is more important than the wrist measurement, the straps adjust out pretty well for those of us with larger forearms. Great product, Hayabusa delivers again.
I have used multiple MMA gloves from Title, Century, Combat Sports, Venum, and Fairtex. The Hayabusa Tokushu Gloves exceed all expectations and its competitors.
The gloves have the Dual-x wrist close that provides excellent wrist support. There isn't an excess of wrap with the velcro hanging over many other gloves have.
The new leather "Vylar" is comfortable to strike with and first time using them, the gloves felt as if they were already broken in. It wasn't like the typical glove in which the padding feels almost hard.
There is no thumb but has the Y-shaped volar design so the thumb has flexibility but is always in place.
The fit a little bit small but will stretch out after more training.
The only cons this product has is the price but the price is definitely worth the investment. No glove compares.
I love these gloves...knuckle and wrist protection at its best...I love the double wrist strap and they look cool. I use these while training for mma doing pad work light sparring etc..
I wear these just about everyday. They are very comfortable. They are very durable. Good around the wrist too. Very good MMA Gloves one of my favorite pairs.
