Overall I like these shorts, even though I have listed several cons, but buyer beware.

Now that I have a few Hayabusa products I'm starting to see a trend in their craftmanship. They get a lot of things right, but there are minor flaws in quality that could be avoided. Some might consider these nit-picky, but for the price they ask for their products they better bring their A game. These shorts are a prime example of why I say this.

There are many great features to these shorts, but the simplest thing I'm finding to be the greatest challenge for these shorts is their durability in my washer. I've already experienced piping wear on the edges of the legs. White material inside exposed against a black stitching - it looks terrible. I wear these for Muay Thai, and I do a very minimal amount of grappling.

It could have come from the ridiculously strong velcro on these shorts getting stuck to it - a word of advice, close up the velcro before you wash them - because it clings to everything.

The waist tie system is really pathetic. It works don't get me wrong, but there is a huge ceiling for improvement there. It has a really cool shoe lace (I'm serious it's basically a shoe lace on steroids) that's strong but if it comes undone it will get lost in the waistband somewhere (we've all done this with a pair of basketball shorts or something at one point) I tied some knots to keep it from getting sucked up in the waistband, but can't something else be designed? Argh!

Once you get them on, you really notice how great these shorts are. Great mobility in the legs, they breathe well, and the waist snugs up nice against your skin so there is ZERO SLIPPAGE. I was really impressed about that feature.

You might think it's little things that I've pointed out, but to me it's inexcusable. When I get another pair of shorts, I'll think long and hard again about getting Hayabusa. For now I'm just going to stick with them until they start to look ragged. There is a "uniform" aspect to the gym I go to, and I don't want to look bad. So we'll see how long they last.

I've had these shorts for several months. I wear them at the gym and home on lazy days. They're comfortable and I like the army green color. I've only bought 1 other pair of shorts that wasn't Hayabusa and I did not like it at all. These are high quality shorts that will last.

Felt perfect on the first try, and looks absolutely awesome. I chose these for the somber and stylish looks. They sit perfectly even during the heaviest rolling, and they're flexible to allow highkicks without restraining. They havent worn yet, and the material doesnt wrinkle after washing.

I am in the manufacturing business myself.
It's very true what the say. You get what you pay for!
I use my shorts not only for mixed martial arts but for a variety sports.
If it's for rock climbing to kite boarding there on.
Good material good construction and great looking.

I can assure you i have tried many types and styles of shorts over the 12 years, and to date these are the best i have put on.
I would say a lot of people who have brought Hayabusa shorts or any other gear. All know their equipment is good quality.
Most of the guys i train with all use Hayabusa!
