The HEM bag. Breathes well, feels retroish, looks good and most importantly, big enough to hold much of our gear. Due to its often comparison with military bags, I will draw some pros and cons of this bag against a standard heavy duty military backpack.
Cons:
1) Strap design not exactly heavy duty, not rugged enough in my opinion to hold a bag of that size, especially when its fully packed.
2) Top zipper compartments. Should have combined the 2 zipper compartments into 1. Can hardly fit a standard sized wallet in one of them. It would have been more convenient if the wallet is accessible from one of those compartments.
Pros:
1) Hem material. It has a soft feel to it hence the bag sometimes looks like its collapsing inside itself unlike other military bags that hold its shape well. However, this material provides breathability, something that is missing in other military bags.
2) Middle open concept compartment. I love this as I can dump my wet clothes here and let it dry out. However, the webbing at the sides should have been made bigger in my opinion.
3) Size. Its huge and easily adjustable by 4 straps. Hence, if you are not carrying a heavy load, you can tighten them up and the bag will look compact.
4) Looks. Its black, heavy duty and huge. Its cool and it represents the kind of person you are when you carry this.
5) Water bottle compartments. Can easily fit your gatorade bottles or shaker bottles here without hassle.
Peace out.

This bag has a lot of space and seems ideal for a person carrying more than one GI. However after ~6 months use the seems on the straps are already torn to the point where this bag i unusable. I would not recommend this bag to anyone carrying more than a rashguard. A little weight will tear this bag up.

Comments about Datsusara Battlepack (BP-02):
Photos don't do this bag justice. It's one of the toughest and biggest backpacks I've ever seen.
It will literally hold all the MMA gear you need for a day (or maybe even two) and would still have room for more.
I would recommend this bag to anyone.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Datsusara Battlepack (BP-02):
The first thing that cam to mind is how HUGE this bag is. Pictures cannot do this thing justice. It has a ton of pockets for everything you need to carry. The main pocket has room for your shin guards, 16 oz gloves, headgear, and a lot more. I have three pairs of 180" handwraps in one of the side pockets. It is still comfortable to wear fully loaded. The waist straps tuck away and are hidden if you don't want to use them. I could go on and on, but it is definitely worth the price.

Comments about Datsusara Battlepack (BP-02):
I needed a backpack to carry my muay thai gear to work then to the gym. This pack gets everything right. The designer thought of every piece of gear you might use and made a place for it. Build and material quality is top notch. I suggest watching the walkthrough on youtube for more info.

Comments about Datsusara Battlepack (BP-02):
I'm a business man who would rather tote a good backpack rather than a briefcase but needed something big enough to strap on my back when I rode my bicycle to work, carry my laptop and paperwork, hold my boxing gloves, shin guards and headgear and gi. This bag does not disappoint and it has room to hold more. I used to go to work with 3 different bags (Not when I was riding the bike): one for my work stuff, one for my gym gear and another for a change of clothes. Not any more... This is hands down the best bag I've ever had! It's big and it's comfortable.
I looked at many different types of bags like the tactical, camping, backpacking and military stuff you see at surplus stores. Some of those were pretty good but none of them offered what's in the Datsusara. It's easy to open, organize and access all your junk. You have to stuff everything in other bags.
If you haven't gone to the website and seen the demo, you should. It might be a little more than you want to spend but it's hands down the most multifunctional backpack I've ever had; I just wish we had these in the Marine Corps...it beats an ALICE pack any day of the week!
If I'm ever in the market for a duffel bag, I'll probably come back and get the Datsusara bag too.

There are multiple compartments in this bag that would fit changes of clothes. It would be up to the customer to decide what to use the compartments for.Answered on 1/19/2013 by Community Answer from None
