I train under a Martial Arts hall of fame kickboxer, and he hits like a ton of bricks. These pads protect really well and stay in place. They are a great value if you cant afford the real leather guards. They are only available in two sizes and I ordered the larger of the two sizes because I am a normal 5'10" adult, but the shin guard portion feels really long. The guard can be resting on the metatarsol pad of the foot section (so it is as far down the shin as it can go), but the top of the guard makes it all the way up into the crook of my knee, which can be annoying. I definitly do not want to order the smaller size either because a normal adult calf would just be too fat to fit into the sleeve. It stays in place because it is good and snug in the large size. The small would be really uncomfortable. They protect really well, and when your sparring partner could kill Chuck Norris with a low kick, that's all I really wanted. I'm saticfied, but i'm not going to stop saving up for the really good guards.

i train mma and this comes in handy because i dont have to use the gyms nasty old smelly ones that don't work properly. They are very comfortable and protect EXACTLY what i need to protect.

The sizing runs small. I wear L in clothing. I had to exchange the regular-size shin guards for the large-size shin guards. They're just right, great for training!

I bought these because I saw a lot of guys were wearing these either under their strapped shin guards, or over their grappling shin guards. I thought these would be like the Century shin guards that stretch out and slide on really easy. The suckers are so tight they are nearly impossible to get on. I bought the biggest size and have a sz14 foot. Buy the century ones, or wear soccer shin guards under your grappling guards. If you are a smaller guy, buy the big size and use it for reasons that I first intended.
