This headgear has a very solid and well built feel to it - you can tell it's good quality leather and padding that was used. It also does not shift very much when sparring, just make sure you get the right size. I have a medium sized head I'd say (I did the proper measurements) and wasinstructed to get a medium. When I tried it on, it wasn't even CLOSE to big enough..so I would say get one size bigger than what you think. Ended up sending it back and getting a large which fits much better.
